The Long Term Policy Development Committee

The creation of the Kentucky Long-Term Policy Research Center represented the fruit of the efforts of the Legislative Research Commission’s Long Term Policy Development Committee, which met in 1989 and 1990, and held a conference in late 1990. Presented below are minutes and handouts from the committee meetings, as well as the packet from the 1990 conference. This Timeline outlines how the Long-Term Policy Research Center was conceived and developed in the late 1980s and early 1990s by the Legislative Research Commission and the Kentucky General Assembly.
